If a logo is the face of your business you can think of copy as your brand’s voice. There are several elements copywriting should take into consideration, here are the major two:

  • Message – This is what you are saying. What is your brand’s message? What is it that you are trying to convey?
  • Tone – The tone is how you say it. Is your brand serious? Does it have an edge? How about some humor?

In the end these choices should depend on your market and what will appeal to them. Keep in mind good copy shouldn’t be written for you, the business owner, but for the target market you are trying to connect with and hopefully convert into customers. The copy helps build the connection between the brand and consumers.
